Okay. I was so. So so SO excited about how this turned out, I had to share it. I think it's unlikely that the recipient will stumble upon this posting... and I swear that every day it gets harder and harder to give away. I'd better wrap it fast before I decided it's the best gift ever -- for ME! Anyway, I picked up this variegated yarn on a whim (I don't usually buy the "expensive" stuff. As an afghan-maker, Red Heart is perfectly adequate for me!) and I was *so* surprised with the results! Adding buttons was my mom's suggestion to give the ends some "weight" -- and picking them out was fun, too! I love it.
